FAQ's

We are located at a property in Albion Park NSW which is 20 mins south of Wollongong or 80 mins south of Sydney.

If you have just started out riding motorcycles and don’t yet feel like you have the confidence or skills to be out amongst the traffic or other riders then we recommend the Basic course. The start of the day consists of going over all the controls and there functions like smooth Throttle, Brake, Clutch control then we move onto correct body position, line selection, braking points etc. We keep practicing until you feel comfortable and build up from there so that you leave feeling confident about being able to mix it with other traffic.
The Intermediate course is similar but the speed and aggression levels are higher then the beginner course. Our Intermediate course applies to people that have ridden before but have not been on a bike for a while and need to regain confidence by regaining there skills. We find that by spending the day getting used to riding a motorcycle with less traction, both skill and confidence is increased, plus it is a lot of fun. Most of the elite Road Racers have come from a dirt bike background.
Our advanced course covers exactly the same riding skills as the intermediate course but at a much higher difficulty level.

The Course Cost is $450 per person which includes a Motorcycling Australia Day License and add and $795 for 2 day adventure course. Corser Concepts reserves the right to change this fee as it sees fit for any marketing purposes. We are positive that after taking one of our courses you will leave completely satisfied with your newfound confidence and skills plus you will have had an awesome time in the process.

We supply Moto Cross Helmet, Goggles, Gloves and a riding Jersey. Dirt bike/ Motocross riding gear is most comfortable and offers great protection. If you have your own gear please bring it along, if not thats ok but please bring Jeans, Jumper and if possible a pair of over the ankle high boots "Blundstone style- Avoid Steelcaps" as a minimum. Road riding/Touring style Boots are the best, offer plenty of protection and less restrictive than motocross boots.

It's not a fashion contest so as long as its safe, offers the right amount of protection we are happy.

Road race suit/ two piece leathers are fine to wear but are a bit restrictive and could get dirty. Road style full face Helmets are fine but Moto X style helmets work best as they have less tendency to fog up whilst waiting for instructions. Moto X style gloves offer good level of protection, less restrictive than leather gloves.

We do have riding gear available for students to use but please bring what you have and or bring the minimum.

Definitely!! We provide the opportunity to learn what a motorcycle feels like when it is out of control all at a slow reasonable speed. The techniques apply to every type of motorcycle discipline you might be into.

A large number of students are social street riders. We all know of some of the dangerous situations that occur when riding on the open road. Our school curriculum will better prepare you for these real world experiences. E.g. A panic stop on the street is exactly what we are practicing but all in a controlled environment at lower speeds.

We all know that when road racing at the highest level your tires will begin to slide. We also know that this can be a very costly and painful learning experience. By attending one of our schools you will learn the required skills and techniques to be able to control a sliding road bike. These skills will directly apply to sliding on asphalt. The main advantage is you will skip the potentially painful and expensive consequences of the same thing happening on asphalt.

Traction levels can change greatly from one corner to another on a Motocross track. Getting in and out of a corners safer and faster is good, no matter what type of riding you do. Making that pass on a slippery, off-camber corner requires maximizing traction so we will teach you how to get the most out of the available grip by better weight distribution.

Yes! By utilizing our specially prepared motorcycles on our specially prepared tracks you will gain valuable Brake,Throttle and clutch control skills. A huge advantage attending one of our schools is that the tracks are built to scale of the bikes we use which means if you mess up one corner approx 35secs later you get the opportunity to perfecting it again all under the close supervision of one of our experienced instructors.

Did someone say fun? It will be the most fun you have had on a motorcycle in a long time! Most importantly it is going to make you a better, safer more confident rider. There is no pressure to break any records but your desire will determine your result. We know you become a safer rider by attending and have a lot of fun learning.

Plenty! We believe the best way to learn is by spending time on the bike. Classroom lectures are kept to a minimum so more time is spent on the track learning the techniques. You will sleep well the night after each class.

We recommend that you do some light stretching a few weeks leading up to the day of your course as this will make a huge difference on the day when riding the bike. A little exercise and good night’s sleep before your course will help keep your stamina and concentration levels high for the day. Again, this is a go-at-your-own-pace program. Arrive with an open mind and an eagerness to learn. This is supposed to be fun.

If no previous riding experience then 10 upwards but if your child has had some experience we can go as young as 8.We attempt to keep kids in their own groups depending on the circumstance.

Generally our courses are a mix of Grass track and dirt track layouts held on a paddock or a dirt arena. We ride on several track configurations staring from an oval to different TT configurations.

No, a Catered healthy lunch will be provided plus there will be drinks available such as water/Gatorade. Please let us know ahead of time if you have any special dietary requirements and all attempts will be made to fulfil such requests
Note: Lunch and light refreshments are intended for paid students but can also be arranged for Parents or Guardians for an additional $10 paid by the person on the day.

The same actions and principles apply at higher speeds on larger bikes. These nearly indestructible little bikes allow you to get as close to the limit as you dare, and go over that limit with limited risk of serious injury. You will find that pushing a motorcycle to its limit is one of the most satisfying experiences in motorcycling.

Usually laugh then get up and continue riding. Due to size and nature of the track layouts we aim to keep the speeds lower then if you wear on an open course. Crashing on Dirt, although is hard it is far less abrasive then Bitumen and lot more forgiving. Crashes are part of learning how to ride a motorcycle and we believe you can learn from your crashes.

No, we provide the motorcycles as our bikes are set up specifically for this type of training. All bikes are set up identical to make it less confusing.

We ask that you keep your friends as Spectators away. We welcome your friends as fellow students but as spectators they are specifically prohibited. We need to have your full attention on the day and we find that buddies, hangers-on, and non riding partners are not good for your learning. We suggest going back home and telling them all about it and how much fun they would of had, had they signed up and came along. If you are travelling long distance and have specific requirements concerning your family, please call us to discuss options.

Parents are allowed to stay and observe their child from a designated area, however we do ask parents to let the instructors do their job that way both you and your child will gain more out of the course.
